Privacy, in plain English.

This policy explains what information this website collects, what I do with it, and what I never do with it. It applies to ideal-financial.net. It was last updated August 26, 2026. I’ve written it in plain English on purpose — the same way I explain loans.

Information you give me: when you request a guide or use the contact form, you provide your name, email address, and — on the contact and professional forms — optional details like your phone number, firm, or a message. That’s it. No forms on this site ask for Social Security numbers, account numbers, or financial details.

Information collected automatically: like nearly every website, this site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help me understand which pages people visit. Analytics data is aggregated — I see that a number of people visited a page, not who they are. The web server also keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested).

To send you the guide you asked for, to reply when you contact me, and to understand which pages of this site are useful. If you become a client, information you provide later in the loan process is governed by the privacy disclosures you receive with your loan application, as federal law requires.

I do not sell your information. I do not rent it, trade it, or share it with marketers. I do not add you to a drip campaign, and requesting a guide does not sign you up for anything. Your information goes to me — Ken Adler — and no one else, full stop. This is a one-person practice, and there is no marketing department to protect you from.

A few well-known companies process data on my behalf, strictly to make the site function: Hostinger hosts the website; Google provides email delivery for guide requests, business email, and the analytics described above; FormSubmit relays contact-form messages to my inbox. Each receives only what’s needed for its job.

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use this site, or install Google’s opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no cross-site tracking here to turn off.

This site offers reverse mortgage information for homeowners 55 and older. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to how information is handled would be noted prominently here.
